Sarah Nell and Robert (Click for Engagement and Bridal!) were married on a perfect fall day in November. Their ceremony took place at the First Baptist Church of Charleston. Founded in 1682 it is the oldest Baptist Church in the South. The couples wedding day was full of personal touches to pay homage to their families and their Charleston roots. The Bride wore her mother’s wedding veil and the couple were transported around town in a 1934 red Ford sedan belonging to the family. Sarah Nell used pieces of lace from her mother’s wedding gown to create a flower corsage as a surprise gift. The Bride and her bridesmaids carried bouquets full of dried flowers, palmetto roses and pheasant feathers designed by Creech’s Florist. Sarah Nell had custom designed make-up from Angela McKee of Head Turner Studios and wore an Amsale gown from White on Daniel Island. From the gents bow-ties to the Brides vintage hairpins this wedding was every bit a Charleston affair!
Stay tuned tomorrow for Sarah Nell and Robert’s Pepper Plantation Reception!
