Wedding: Gabrielle and David

Gabrielle and David were married on the historic grounds of Middleton Plantation overlooking Butterfly Lake. The two exchanged wedding bands once worn by the grooms grandparents. These rings have special meaning to the family because of their history. When David’s grandmother was fleeing Nazi Germany she sewed these bands to the inside of her clothing so they would not be taken. Years later, standing on Charleston soil full of it’s own rich history David presented one of these rings to his Bride and now proudly wears one on his left hand.

After their ceremony the couple and their intimate party of twenty-five had a champagne toast amidst the blooming azalea’s. Gabrielle and David were then whisked off to their reception in a 1955 Rolls Royce while their guests were transported in a snazzy vintage city bus. After cocktails on the cupola of the Wentworth Mansion guests retired to a private room in Circa 1886 for a three course meal followed by a gorgeous cake from Elaine’s Events.
