Katie and Glen were married on a beautiful August afternoon overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Their ceremony was held on the Grand Lawn at the Sanctuary at Kiawah Island with a reception following in the Grand Oaks Ballroom.
The girls spent the wedding morning at the Sanctuary spa relaxing and getting pampered, while the boys went surfing and lounged by the pool. Katie and her bridesmaids are a fun bunch and spent the majority of their time giggling and laughing. All members of Tri-Delta when they were at Vanderbilt, the girls are very close and certainly acted like sisters. When the Bride first slipped on her wedding gown the girls broke out in “Going To The Chapel,” amidst their tears of joy.
Katie and Glen chose to do a “frist look” before the ceremony and we are very glad they did! Glen was very nervous to see his Bride and broke into tears when he first saw how breathtaking she looked. The moment was a short and sweet pause during the busyness of the day. Katie and Glen were able to appreciate one another and privately celebrate the love they have for each other.
