Hanna and Heyns were married on a sultry summer morning in July. After shooting their engagement this past November we learned how happy and fun the two are and we instantly knew their wedding would reflect this. Hanna and Heyns decided on a morning ceremony as a change from tradition. The wedding took place at the Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul with a brunch reception following in their Parish Hall. The Bride wore a beautiful LulaKate dress with her bridesmaids in pink. The ceremony was a touching affair as you could see the couples obvious delight as they stood at the altar. Heyns is originally from South Africa and many of his family members flew over for the wedding, proving how important the union of two people are.
The brunch reception was a an exciting change from traditional wedding food with waffles, biscuits, fruit and even juice provided by Beyond Expectations catering. (Waffles…such a nice treat at a wedding!) The Parish Hall was transformed by the ladies of Southern Protocol. Every detail was given immaculate attention from the green linens to the flowers covering the tables and windows. The Bride’s wishes were truly brought to life as her color palate of green and pink were reflected throughout. Guests left with cookie cutter favors with a recipe lovingly provided by the Bride’s mother. Cupcakes were provided by The Cake Stand and were a fabulous addition as they created some of the funniest photos of the day. (When you mix kids and cupcakes theres no telling what might happen!)
