We are excited to announce that our image from Carmen and Oscar’s wedding received Second Place at the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers annual contest in Las Vegas, Nevada! We are humbled to have been chosen and included in this intimate selection of the most talented photographers in the industry.

This image captures a quiet moment of the Bride just as she was set to walk down the aisle. It is one of our favorite images from this past year and we are honored that it captured the judges eye.

Over the past couple days Richard has been covering the Civil War reenactments in Charleston. We are so excited and humbled over the response his photos have garnered. On Monday he landed the cover of the Chicago Tribune, Tuesday he made AOL’s top pics and was published on the MSNBC website, NPR, The Charlotte Observer, The Indianapolis Star, Scholastic.com, The Kansas City Star, The Denver Post, and this morning the cover of Washington Post!

Every year 16,000 wedding photographers gather in Las Vegas, Nevada for the Wedding and Portrait Professionals International Convention (WPPI). One of the main events of the week is the WPPI Awards of Excellence Print Competition. Thousands of photos are entered and are judged by technical skill, composition, impact and creativity. Needless to say we were more than thrilled when Richard Ellis received second place and his winning image was displayed alongside other talented photographers stunning work in a gallery show!
