Wedding: Nicole and Brandon

Nicole and Brandon were married this past Saturday at Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head. The ceremony took place overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at the Sea Pines Beach Club. The couple wanted a beach wedding and chose Sea Pines after vacationing with another couple there and falling in love with the views it offered. Hilton Head holds special meaning to Brandon as his family has taken countless vacations there.

Nicole and Brandon’s ceremony took place on the deck of the Sea Pines Beach Club. Nicole was beaming from ear to ear as her mother walked her down the aisle. Throughout the ceremony Brandon stole little glances at his Bride as the two squeezed hands. The two left their ceremony as husband and wife to the song “Over The Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. Can’t get more beachy and happy than that!

The Plantation Club at Sea Pines was transformed for the couple through the talents of Diane Hardy. A Floral Affair provided gorgeous flower arrangements that overflowed from the tables while floating votives gave the room a golden hue. The talented chef at Sea Pines created an amazing buffet of salmon and jasmine rice for the couple while the pastry chef crafted a divine red velvet cake.

The couple are die-hard Gamecock’s fans (as evidenced in their USC Engagement shoot) and as such wanted to pay homage to their favorite team in their wedding. For their grand entrance to the reception Brandon built a “Cocky’s Box” for the couple to jump out of!

Wedding: Erin and Todd

Erin and Todd were married this past Saturday at Alhambra Hall in the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant. The couple live in the Old Village so the location was not only convenient but special as they will be able to walk past the building everyday and remember their wedding. The day started with hair and make-up for Erin and her Bridesmaids at Erin and Todd’s home. The wonderful Pamela Lesch was on hand to perform her make-up magic while the Bride’s friend whipped the girls’ hair into perfect coifs. Erin’s mother had trouble holding back tears as she watched her daughter transform into a Bride.

After getting ready Erin and Todd were brought to a secluded location for their “first look.” After planning the entire wedding and hand-crafting many of the tiny details themselves the “first look” provided a pause and a moment of contemplation during the rush of the day.

Erin and Todd are a very do-it-yourself couple and together crafted a beautiful wedding. Shades of yellow and blue as well as peacock feathers were used throughout. Erin handmade the flowers for her hair as well as the groomsmen’s boutonnieres. The couple made mix CD’s of their favorite songs for their guests as well as koozies. The koozies were amazingly creative and show just how savvy this Bride truly is. Each had a picture of E.T. flying over South Carolina. E.T. at a wedding? Well E.T. just happens to also be the initials for Erin and Todd!

The couple planned a fabulous reception as they had the two most important ingredients: great food and an amazing band. Regal Catering provided overflowing buffets of food, including a chocolate fountain while Erin’s friend baked delicious cupcakes. To top it all off the couple had local Charleston favorite Sol Driven Train. The band was phenomenal playing their own songs and covers late into the night.

Bridal Portraits: Erin

Erin + Todd were married at Alhambra Hall this past Saturday and while we are busy at work editing those photos we wanted to share with you the gorgeous bridal portraits we took of Erin this past spring. We began the shoot near Erin and Todd’s Mt. Pleasant home before continuing to downtown Charleston. As we were making our way downtown, only ten minutes into the shoot, rain came pouring down in buckets. Yet Erin was optimistic and agreed to keep on with the shoot and boy are we glad she did. I think you will agree with us that these bridal portraits are a testiment of how you can make a grey day beautiful. When things do not run perfectly it causes you to be creative and some of these rainy shots are among our favorites of the day. The silvery light cast from the grey clouds reflects off Erin and she is absolutely glowing in the images.

The Bride kept calm and cool during the shoot and believed 100% in our ability to make it magical and we thank her for that. She spent the majority of the day barefoot and I love the casual feel it gives the pictures.

Look at those stunning doe-like eyes! Courtesy of the very talented Charleston makeup artist Pamela Lesch.
